Oncura Partners

We are very excited about our new partnership with Oncura Partners to bring real-time, radiologist interpreted ultrasound imaging to Kyle!

Quality, dependable imaging depends on three things--the equipment, the operator (capturing images) and the interpretation. Anyone can buy an ultrasound machine, but integrating all three in a way that benefits our clients, patients, and practice is difficult in practice. Many of you are familiar with having to drive to Austin or San Antonio, pay $500 for imaging, or waiting weeks until mobile services are out this way. Those days are past thanks to Oncura! We can now capture images using top quality equipment in real time.

The image capture is aided remotely by telemedicine and robotic cameras-- and we now have three technicians certified by Oncura in ultrasound use! (Thanks Sarah, Monica, and Lauren!) Finally, those images can be read by a boarded radiologist often in just a few hours! We are excited about this new dimension in health care that has previously been inaccessible to the area.

New! Home Delivery Options!

 E-commerce continues to evolve, and we continually search for the lowest cost, most convenient options for home delivery. In March of 2021, we upgraded to the most current online shopping provider, through VetsFirstChoice. VetsFirstChoice offers delivery of food, medications, over the counter products, and even heartworm prevention! They offer options for some of the products we do not regularly stock, as well as a NEW, more convenient option for those of you who prefer to purchase your heartworm prevention monthly--home delivery of SINGLE heartworm preventives, often at a lower cost than you coming in and picking them up in our office!

As we all know, the Kyle/Buda area is a great place to live—the word is out and we are one of the fastest growing areas in the nation. We have recently hired additional staff /veterinarians and undergone a physical expansion of our building in an attempt to keep up with demand without drastically increasing the costs of delivering high-quality veterinary care.

At the same time, we do not double book appointments as many professionals do and every appointment slot matters. We are rapidly approaching a point where every appointment made takes a spot from someone else who needs it. For this reason, no-show appointments are a significant obstacle to being able to continue to be available to provide high quality care at a reasonable price.

To better continue to serve you in a cost-effective manner, we have instituted the following policy for appointments cancelled within 24 hours of the scheduled time:

1. New clients not affiliated with our hospital will be billed at our standard office call fee.
2. Existing clients will have a notation in their file, and on subsequent cancellations will be billed for an office call fee.
3. If an existing client fails more than twice, they will be asked to leave a deposit on booking subsequent appointments.
4. New clients booking a premium appointment (Saturdays and holidays) will be asked to leave a deposit upon booking. This deposit will be refunded if the appointment is cancelled with over 24 hours’ notice or applied to the invoice for the visit if the appointment is kept.
