Jobs

Interested in employment with Kyle Animal Hospital?

We're excited that you stopped by the site to find out more about our employment opportunities. We've designed this page to help describe our job openings a bit more than we can in a standard ad, but please don't hesitate to contact us directly if you'd like more information about any specific employment opportunity. We are serious about providing long term career opportunities, complete with personal and professional growth and learning experiences. For instance, we not only require continuing education for our staff members, we also provide funds for continuing education meetings and even further tuition assistance for employees enrolled in a qualifying Registered Veterinary Technician program.

If you are serious about veterinary medicine as a career (even if just starting out), then we'd like to talk to you more. We generally have positions for first time animal care jobs as well as opportunities for the most seasoned ultrasound, surgery, and patient care technicians. If this applies to you, please send resume and references Fax: 512-268-4025; Mail Kyle Animal Hospital, PC 100 Hall Professional Ct, Kyle, TX 78640; Email hospitalmanager@kylevet.com

Receptionist: Our receptionists are not just warm bodied answering machines. The receptionist position may be the most important in our hospital, because as receptionist you are our first and last contact with the client. We do require and pay for at least 10 hours of continuing education/professional development per year. Many of our receptionists thrive in this position and stay here long term, while some move into a veterinary technician or other hospital role. See a general job description here.

Veterinary Technician: Our veterinary technicians are well trained, professional, career minded individuals. Our technicians are not just glorified animal holders. As a veterinary technician at Kyle Animal Hospital, you will utilize all the skills you are legally able and trained to perform. This of course will allow you to maximize your earning potential and job satisfaction. In fact, we not only require 15 hours of continuing education a year for our technicians; we pay for outside meetings, in-house training, tuition assistance for collegiate Registered Veterinary Technician programs, and even have an in-house program in place for you to obtain your Certified Veterinary Assistant certification through the TVMA! Our technicians may concentrate in a particular area-surgery, dentistry, behavior, feline, ultrasound, etc. See a list of the general job description here, and look over our training checklist here.

Veterinary Assistant As a veterinary assistant, you are very often you are our most intimate link with the patient. Much of your work will not be directly supervised, and you must be capable of independent observation and decision making. Veterinary assistants are also eligible for continuing education assistance, and we strongly encourage this as many (but not all) of our veterinary assistants work into receptionist, veterinary technician, or even management roles. See the general job description here.

Of course we can't cover it all on a website (or even in a short interview). Please don't hesitate to contact us if you'd like more information at any time. The most important thing that we can't cover here is the general feel of a progressive, professional team oriented practice. We do generally schedule working interviews for qualified applicants so that we all have ample opportunity to learn as much as we can about each other prior to hiring. If you'd like to take the next step, please don't hesitate to contact us for further information, or submit a resume and references to:
